Our story · Since 1995

Thirty years of giving talent a stage

Diamantidou School began with a piano, a handful of students and a conviction: that the arts change lives. Three decades later, that conviction has become one of Cyprus's most complete performing arts academies.

The school

Born in Limassol, made for dreamers

Founded in 1995by Maria Diamantidou — who returned to her birthplace of Limassol with a degree and master's in music studies — the school grew from a small music school into a complete academy for the performing arts. What has never changed is the feeling when you walk through our doors: the sound of pianos and drums down the corridor, dancers counting steps, young actors finding their voices.

We believe artistic education is for everyone — not only for the naturally gifted. Some of our proudest moments belong to the shy child who sang alone on stage for the first time, the adult who finally learned the instrument they always wanted, the toddler who took first dance steps holding a parent's hand.

With three locations in Limassol and seven departments under one philosophy, we welcome every age and every level — from babies in Kinder Music to grandparents in ballroom class. As a member of P.O.I.K.A.M, the school prepares students for recognised music examinations by LCM, Trinity College London (TCL), ABRSM and RSL, as well as English academic examinations such as EDEXCEL GCE in Music for entry to Greek and international universities. The school proudly presents productions in renowned theatres, organises a wide range of events and competes actively in competitions — earning notable successes and many awards — while performing year-round in charity events and the festive life of the Municipality of Limassol.

Our mission

“To help every student — child, teenager or adult — discover talent, build confidence and express themselves through the arts.”

What we believe

Values that shape artists

Every student is seen

Small classes and attentive teachers mean no one is invisible. We meet each student where they are and help them grow from there.

Confidence through performance

The stage is our classroom. Performing teaches courage, preparation and grace — lessons that last far beyond the final bow.

The arts are for everyone

Babies, teens, parents, grandparents — creativity has no age limit and no entry requirements. Only curiosity.

Joy is the method

Discipline matters, but joy is what makes it stick. Our students work hard because they love what they do.

Why the arts matter

Lessons that last a lifetime

For children, the arts build focus, memory, coordination and empathy — and give shy personalities a safe place to grow loud. Performance teaches preparation and courage in a way no classroom can.

For adults, creative practice is joy, community and balance — proof that it is never too late to learn something beautiful. Music, dance and drama are not extracurricular. They are how people find out who they are.

01

Foundations first

Technique built patiently and correctly — in music, dance or theatre — so students can grow without limits.

02

Individual pathways

Some students dream of conservatoires and competitions; others play purely for joy. Both paths deserve excellent teaching.

03

The whole artist

We nurture musicality alongside technique, expression alongside discipline, and character alongside skill.
